Does anyone know if FileMaker 14 will work under Mojave? After Beta of course I should have said "Will" it work in an update because it does not work now So now I'm forced to upgrade FM even though I don't want to.

Well, it may work, but FMI recommends to wait for an update. Well, I've tried: It doesn't work. It's a pity, but I halfway understand. What I don't understand ist the fact that it is not sure whether Filemaker 16 will work with Mojave. This is the newest version I can get for my workplace and the Filemaker representative I've talked to insisted that it had not been tested with Mojave. I cannot believe this! I've now installed the trial of FM17 that'll keep me going for 45 days.

Seems like one of the Cocoa framework methods crashes due to a change in MacOS Anyone interested in a copy of the plugin can email me. An upgrade to FileMaker I'm running the Filemaker 17 trial as well. The timing of the Mojave release is a bit unfortunate in that Filemaker just ended their upgrade pricing for Filemaker 17 from Filemaker 14 last week on September 21, If I pick up a copy of the upgrade from a different retailer, will it still work on FIlemaker 14?

You'd better just buy a FMP 17 upgrade as soon as possible. If some retailer gives you upgrade price, that would be great. Otherwise you'd have to buy a new license. But it did work under High Sierra Not going to pay euros or more because FM pushes me. Filemaker 14 doesn't run om Mojave. It crashes directly after opening. Absolutely not pleased that Filemaker ended the upgrade from FM 14 just a week before before Mojave came out. So that you had to find out that it's not compatible and you can't upgrade too late.

I agree Filemakers upgrade policy is terrible. With new releases every year, you are forced to upgrade at least every two years. Strangely enough the copy I have of Filemaker 11 still does work with Mojave, with some small issues. Unfortunately this is the old Filemaker fp7 format…. I guess what really annoys me is that they sent out notices that FM 14 would not longer be supported, but they didn't say that after that date, they wouldn't honor the upgrade.

I have been using FM for 20 years or more. I expected a little more loyalty from the company. Yes, I know that the product has changed hands back and forth a few times over the years, but they should be aware of who has been a client for how long. Funny thing is, we want to upgrade, we want to spend our money with them, but they are just making it hard for the single users and sole proprietors.

It's the Adobe Creative Suite debacle all over again I've been using Filemaker before it went pro and now have v I concur with the other responders.

This is sleazy, very sleazy. A platform that works well and before you know it, Apple updates and Filemaker doesn't and makes it more difficult to update. I found the issue with FM14 in Mojave after I too hastily updated.

Fortunately I had created a clone that I was able to restore from. As much as I would love to move up to Mojave the collateral cost of upgrading from FM14 is more than I can justify. Conversely the time needed to create the same solution in a different application or service is equally too great.

Hopefully FM will see fit to offer a more reasonable upgrade cost from FM Are you listening FM? I too found that updating caused V14 to crash. Fortunately I have a time machine back for the machine that updated and I am now trying to restore back so that I can work.

I have a 2nd machine that is working and not updated. What a mess. As far as I know there are 3 or 4 things that changed in MacOS including some reference counting of objects. So even if we work around one crash, it may crash on something else. I recently got a note for example about a crash with a dialog opening when a database is referenced and not found.

The best is to move to FileMaker Take the two for one promotion This is how Filemaker loses its loyal market to newcomers like Airtable. Very poor show Filemake, feels like being scammed. I also just found out ver 14 will not work with Mojave. Called for upgrade but quoted full price only. Guess I will have to find new software to support my limited usage of Filemaker,. I still have a laptop that can't be upgraded to Mojave so I can continue to use it for awhile while I look for an alternative.

Will the current version of FM work? Mike's link doesn't work for me. FM17 trial is working for me on Mojave. Try this link. Maybe it could 'work', even if not legal. Or i missed something?
